456 is a budget-friendly, high-end recording studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The studio is run by experienced recording & mixing engineer Niall Sinclair, previously working out of Edinburgh’s legendary Chamber Studio (conveniently, we’re located in the same building!)
The studio features a large live room, wired for 24 mic channels and capable of full-band recordings.
We designed the space to work exceptionally well for either live or isolated recordings.
The hardwood oak floor gives a lively yet focused sound, making the room flexible for any project.
the control room
The mix room is based around a small-format API console, making the classic API sound accessible for budget projects.
The console is complimented by a range of preamps from Neve, AEA and H2 (Helios) plus classic high end studio outboard, turning the modest console into a modular, fully fledged recording & mixing studio.
We’re wired for 32 I/O with Avid HDX converters and the latest Pro Tools Ultimate system.
